This show originally aired on Sunday, July 12th shortly after we learned that Michael Smith was in hospice. Starting at about the 18-minute mark, we feature Michael who we are sad to report passed away on Monday August 3rd.
We start with Kathy Kelly’s contemporaneous thoughts about Michael along with some of his music. Then we dip into the archives and you’ll hear our last interview with Michael when Sue Kessell visited with him for over an hour in 2019.
We’re in the process of preparing a tribute show but due to our need to pre-record our program these days, an in-depth show likely won’t air until August 16th at the earliest. We’ll keep you posted.
